A native of Mobile, Dr. William Bibb Lamar III graduated from Rhodes College with a degree in Arts. He received his medical degree at University of South Alabama College of Medicine in 1998. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at USA Medical Center, followed by a nephrology fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans. He also completed a transplant nephrology fellowship at University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine.
Dr. Lamar joined Nephrology Associates of Mobile, P.A. in 2004. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Although he has a special interest in kidney transplantation, he also sees patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and kidney stones.
