Dr. Parris obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from UAB, with honors and research honors while also a member of magna cum laude. In 2013, Dr. Parris graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. In 2017, Dr. Parris completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Parris completed his renal fellowship at the Harvard Medical School where he was also an assistant instructor.
During Dr. Parris's education and postdoctoral training, he received several prestigious awards and recognitions as well as participating in educational presentations. Dr. Parris was a part of the Phi Sigma Biological Sciences Honor Society, Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society, Order of Omega Honor Society at UAB. Dr. Parris has been active in his communities; served as a volunteer Medical Doctor with the Memphis Gridiron Ministries Youth Football Program, clinical skills instructor, and volunteer peer mentor at UASOM.
Interests: Renal Genetics, home-based dialysis, and dialysis patient education.
Dr. Parris joined Nephrology Associates of Mobile, P.A in 2019 and he is board certified in Internal Medicine. He is accepting new patients and accepts most commercial and government-based insurances.
